The financial times reported on Monday that Chinese technology company xiaomi was finally turning a corner as smartphone sales soared, with a huge rebound.

The report quoted market intelligence company international data corp., the company's sales rose 59% in the second quarter, 21 million, the global occupied a place among the top five smartphone makers.
Xiaomi, the world's leading start-up company, reportedly missed out on its mobile shipment target in 2015, with market share held by its rivals Oppo and Vivo.
The company is currently designing its own processors, which will enable it to reduce battery weight and reliance on foreign manufacturers, the report said. It also plans to expand globally and look to emerging markets such as India.
